Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how YumHeal (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use the YumHeal mobile app and website (the “Service”). By using YumHeal you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name and email (or the identifier from Sign in with Apple/Google). Guest accounts store only an anonymous identifier.
- Your content — the recipes you save, collections, meal plans, shopping lists and notes you create.
- Import sources — links, video URLs or photos you submit so we can extract a recipe for you.
- Usage & device data — basic, non-identifying diagnostics that help us keep the Service reliable.
How we use your information
- To provide and improve the Service — saving, organizing and syncing your recipes across devices.
- To process recipe imports, including sending submitted text or images to our AI processing provider solely to structure the recipe.
- To manage subscriptions and entitlements.
- To respond to support requests.
AI processing
When you import a recipe, the content you submit is sent to a third-party AI provider to extract ingredients and steps. We send only what is needed to perform the extraction and do not use your private content to train models.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Service (hosting, storage, AI processing, payment/subscription management), bound by appropriate confidentiality terms, or where required by law.
Data retention & deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. This removes your recipes, collections, meal plans, shopping lists and associated images. You may also email us to request deletion.
Your rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
